This series is becoming one of my favourites! I love Amanda and her absolute passion and commitment to finding justice. This was book 8 in the series, and while there are no spoilers, do yourself a favour and devour the whole series!
This time, the case hits close to home when her niece Ava's friend's sister is the victim, and Ava (who has detective blood flowing through her veins) decides to take matters into her own hands, resulting in almost becoming a murder victim too!
The multiple points of view gave excellent insight into the detective, the killer, and would be victim's psyche, creating an edge of your seat, gripping novel! I was hooked from the very first chapter, and it kept me guessing throughout.
I could really appreciate how some pretty serious topics were covered and interwoven into the story, where bullying and its extreme consequences are revealed. Bullying comes in so many forms and is so detrimental. (Read the authors acknowledgement too to get a behind the scenes look)
