Blurb
A brand new novella
Second-chance romance and friendships
6 friends
5 weeks of summer
4 exes
3 pets
2 bitter ends
1 cottage for the summer
What’s the worst that could happen?
Emma wants one last summer with her childhood best friends to honour the death of Drew, her
teenage sweetheart.
Once they get there, the nostalgia comes rushing back and brings up a lot of the past, which Ricky,
Ted, Harri, Jim and Fliss are trying to forget.
As summer continues, the friendships in the group grow. But what happens when secrets are
exposed and cracks start appearing between the friends that could destroy everything?
Can they all forgive and forget or is there too much water under the bridge?
My review
This was such a fast paced, quick read. Perfect to read on the beach or at the pool (or if you have kids and you need to sneak in a fast book.)
Emma, Harri, Fliss, Ricky, Ted and Jim (and Drew who has passed away) used to spend summers at the Sunflower Cottage, now years later and all grown up they're back for one last summer. A summer to reminisce and rekindle friendships and ignite old flames.
We also can't forget about the sweet furry friends that added an extra bonus.
This was not short of drama, or action, and it was such a fun read that reminded me of a summer of my own from years ago.
So if you're looking for a lovely, quirky read, look no further.
